Insurance rules and regulations can be confusing. We participate
with many insurance programs, and each has its own set of rules and
requirements. It is best to contact
the office to learn what plans with which we currently participate and if
there are any special rules. Learning your insurance company's rules is
your responsibility and not following them may cost you more! While we participate with many managed care programs, we
consider ours a fee for service practice. Our patients are ultimately
responsible for charges incurred at the laboratory, office, or hospital. We
request and appreciate payment at the time of the office visit for that portion
of the fee for which you are responsible (e.g. co-pays, deductibles or the
entire fee, depending upon the insurance rules). Bills are mailed out monthly.
Questions about billing and payment are important and we will work with you to
clarify and resolve billing issues involving our office. If you are having
problems with Spectrum Labs, another doctor's office, or the
hospital, please call them directly; these groups are beyond our control. If you are unable to pay your bill in full we are willing to set
your account up on a payment plan as long as you don't miss a payment.
When there are extenuating circumstances we expect you to notify us.You will be notified if your account is overdue so that
arrangements can be made to pay your bill. Accounts that do not respond to
our letter will be turned over to collections.
We accept cash or check but currently do not accept credit
cards.
We accept cash and checks for partial or full payment. Those without insurance may want to discuss payment plans with Penny. |
